First off try setting up festive tables in front of your garage door.  These tables should be filled with the usual little gift baskets to give away to the children attending your party.  Also set up tables where kids can go ahead and paint their favorite colored eggs.  Make sure to cover this table with a type of cloth you don’t mind tossing once the event is over.

Decide on the time and date:

Most likely the event will be Easter day.  Try to pick a time when people are not attending church or Easter Brunch or Easter dinner.  Also try not to make the event during the middle of the day as children may be affected by the sun.

Keep your guest age in mind:

An Easter egg hunt can be enjoyed by many but when deciding on the hiding places keep your guest in mind a 5 year old will not be able to reach high up places so plan hiding places accordingly

Choose the proper locations and set boundaries:

If you choose your front lawn or backyard make sure to do the proper cleaning to ensure children do not come across unwanted items such as broken glass or dog feces.  Also make it very clear the boundaries of the game, the last thing you want is for your little guest to go wandering off.

Make a list:

A list of all the hiding places is necessary this will ensure all eggs are found, plus it will help you give hints on where some of the tougher to find eggs are

Prizes:

Remember that table you set up in front of your garage all nice and decorated, all your prizes should be placed here to give those little ones motivation to go out there and find all the egss they can!
