Mother’s Day is almost here and some people are still trying to come up with an idea to make it special for the women in their lives, those who have devoted their time and energy to their children. On the other hand, spring is usually the time for any renovation, remodeling, and home upgrading projects, and if your garage is rather spacious and you need a space to relax often, you might want to consider turning your garage into a spa.
Turning your garage into a spa doesn’t have to be a permanent decision, even if it sounds like it. If you want to make Mother’s Day special, you can create a pop-up spa in your garage for your mother/wife and a few friends. If your garage is spacious, it can comfortably fit between 3 and 5 people at a time to enjoy face masks, mani-pedis, snacks, and mimosas. You could also create a luxury spa for your mom with all of the aforementioned and a massage table. At the end of the day, you can put everything back in its rightful place and keep using your garage for whatever other purposes.
Nevertheless, you could also consider turning your garage into a spa more permanently. And, if you have space, it’s really not that hard or expensive. The first thing you’ll need is a sink or even a shower if you want to splurge a little more. Then you’ll need some comfortable furniture and a small table for mani-pedis. A massage table where you can also do facials is a nice touch and, of course, a mirror and a vanity. Electric connections and nice lighting are key for the space to be properly functional but it shouldn’t be too expensive.
In fact, you can use refurbished or second-hand furniture, save space by installing storage cabinets on walls or underneath the furniture. Further, if you don’t need a spa for your whole squad, it won’t even take that much space because it can all fit nicely in a corner of the garage.
