Installing Your Garage Door
– Remove the Old Door – The first thing we have to do is remove your old garage door. This includes unlatching the door from the pulley system, taking apart the panels of the door, and unscrewing the tracks.
– Measure and Attach Hinges – We will then measure the necessary areas, such as door-opening height and width, headroom, and back room.
– Bottom Panel – The first piece that we will install is the bottom piece. Once the piece is in place, we will tap nails partway into each jam and then slightly bend the nails to secure them into place.
– Remaining Panels – Next, the second panel will be placed on top of the bottom panel and nails will be hammered into the side jams to hold it in place. We will do this with however many panels your LaGrange garage door has.
– Rollers – The rollers will then need to be installed in the section’s roller supports. We will place the rollers in the assembled track and secure the track’s brackets.
– Tracks and Springs – We will use our measurements to make sure the tracks are straight and pointing away from the opening at 90 degrees. Next, we will attach the springs to the pulley system.
