Preparing for Your Upcoming Garage Door Repair or Installation

There are many things that could go wrong with your LaGrange garage door; maybe it won’t open or maybe the tracks are misaligned.  Whatever the reason, it can be annoying when your Gardiner garage door malfunctions, especially if you use your LaGrange garage door as an entrance to your home.  If you are having any issues, it’s important that you get them fixed as soon as possible so that they don’t lead to other issues.  If you need a repair, or a completely new Gardiner garage door, we can assist you at Hudson Valley Overhead Doors & Services.  Before we arrive, however, there are things that you can do to make the process smoother.

Move Cars Out of Garage

The first thing you should do is move any vehicles out of the garage before we arrive.  This will give us more space to work, while also protecting your car from any accidental dents or scratches.

Clear Out Equipment

We understand that many people use their garage as storage, but if there are too many items in the way, it will make it hard for us to freely move around.  It will be very helpful if you move any yard equipment, sports equipment, garbage cans, and other items to a location that won’t get in the way.

Pets

We love pets!  But sometimes when they are walking around the garage while we are working, an accident may occur; this includes one of our installers tripping over the dog, a tool dropping on them, or if they start chewing on important Gardiner garage door parts.

Kids

At Hudson Valley, we are happy to answer any questions that your curious children have!  That being said, it’s not safe for them to be playing in the garage while we’re working on your LaGrange garage door.  With heavy items and power tools, it’s best if just the installation team are in the garage during this process.

We want to do the best job possible, while ensuring that ourselves, as well as you and your family, remain safe.  For that reason, it’s recommended that you and your family follow these tips before we arrive to make any repairs or installations.
